Post offices, telegraph and telephones
Franking of mail and the sale of stamps are carried out at post offices and tobacconists
(
estancs). Telegrams can be arranged by telephone or at the post office. It is also possible
to make calls from the booths at the telephone centre (using coins or telephone credit cards, which
can be bought at the office or in

Formalities for entering Spain
Travellers can freely pass between France and Spain. If the Andorra entry point is used (Seu d'Urgell
border post, tel. 973 350 925 / 973 350 077) European Union citizens must show their National Identity
Card and other nationalities must show a valid passport. At airports and ports, passengers arriving
from countries members of the Schengen Agreement (Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands
and Portugal, as well as Spain), do not have to show any documents of identification. Passengers from
other EU countries must show the necessary documents. Passengers from countries outside the EU must
show a valid passport.
Money and changing currency
Spain's currency is the Euro (€). There are coins of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents and 1 and 2 Euros.
There are 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Euros notes. Currency can be changed at banks and savings banks,
the main hotels, camp sites and at bureaux de change, travel agencies etc. Banks are generally open from
Monday to Saturday, from 8.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (They are closed on Saturdays in the summer).
